Bus Pirate v3.6 Universal Serial Interface - Dangerous Prototypes
The Bus Pirate is your Swiss Army Knife for electronics. It has an obscene number of uses and you'll find more every time you use it.
Interfacing a new microchip can be a hassle. Breadboarding a circuit, writing code, hauling out the programmer, or maybe even prototyping a PCB. We never seem to get it right on the first try.
The ‘Bus Pirate’ is a universal bus interface that talks to most chips from a PC serial terminal, eliminating a ton of early prototyping effort when working with new or unknown chips. Many serial protocols are supported at 0-5.5Volts, more can be added.
It has tonnes of features and the best source for all of them is http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Bus_Pirate Some of our favourites are:
- Voltage Probe
- Command Line History (like Linux)
- Address search for I2C devices
- On board power supply units (with fuses!)
We also have these accessories:
